Sopwell House came to Luminaire Arts with a request for imagery that would help brighten up the hallway spaces throughout the hotel. After careful deliberation with our art consultants, we understood their goal was to provide a subtle contemporary touch to the space, while retaining the dignity and authentic character of the building.

Nestled in 12 acres of tranquil gardens, Sopwell House is a four star hotel in Hertfordshire and the former Georgian country residence of Lord Mountbatten. The present owner, Abraham Bejerano, purchased the property in 1986 and has sensitively developed and updated the facilities taking immense care to retain the character and charm of the original Georgian house.

The artist we proposed for this project was Henrietta, as we felt her elegant aesthetic was a perfect match for Sopwell House, and her vibrant abstract expressionist landscapes are rightly praised for their illuminating qualities.

There was also call for artwork to be displayed in the executive meeting rooms, and after consultation it was decided that the best choice would be two canvases by our very own artistic duo LoveJordan, who have brought a vivid splash of colour to the environment.
